Within the period 14 - 16 October 2014, within the Border Police Department was held the 56th meeting of the Mixed Moldovan-Ukrainian Commission for Demarcation, at which participated a representative of the EUBAM. The Moldovan delegation was led by Deputy Head of the Border Police, Valentin Fiodorov.
The representatives of the press services of the border institutions from the Republic of Moldova and Romania gathered today, October 16th, in a working session. The discussions between the parties focused on bilateral actual themes, focusing on new ways to develop collaborative relationships between services.
Employees of the Border Police counteracted 17 cases of holding the ammunition in people's luggage, who intended to cross the state border and seized 130 undeclared cartridges since the beginning of the year so far.
Today is completed a training work in the field of search and detection of drugs, within which were trained the cynologist inspectors from Moldova and Ukraine and their four-legged colleagues. The course took place in the Cynologist Center of the Customs Service of the Republic of Moldova, from the city of Ocniţa with the support of the European Union Border Assistance Mission to Moldova and Ukraine (EUBAM).
1400 of tablets of Subutex a psychotropic substance, 48 pills of Tramadol and Reladorm, large amounts of money detected at six Moldovans, is the final result of documentation of a criminal group specialized in transporting smuggled drugs from France into Republic of Moldova. In the process of documenting the criminal group were targeted in total, eight persons, originating from the city of Orhei.
