875 liters of diesel illegally transported

m1A minibus loaded with 875 liters of diesel, without any acts of provenance was detected by the Border Police officers while carrying out surveillance and control tasks at the Moldovan-Ukrainian border.

On 18 May at 1000 m from the State border line, at the route Iserlia – Petrovsc, the inspectors of the Border Police Sector Troiţcoe stopped a Ford Tranzit, driven by a Basarabeasca resident, aged 32.

As a result of the control, the Border Police officers found in the vehicle 35 plastic bottles, of 25 liters each. For those 875 liters of diesel the driver failed to present any justifying documents, but for which there were suspicions that it has been taken illegally from the train locomotive, that was running on route Basarabeasca -Chisinau.

Currently, the bottles with diesel are kept at the Sector headquarters. The case is still being investigated by the officers of the Special Investigation of the Eastern Regional Directorate, subsequently, under the competences shall be transmitted to Cimişlia Police Inspectorate.
