Перетин кордону під час надзвичайного стану
As a result of the war in Ukraine and the managing of the flow of people evacuating from Ukraine, a state of emergency has been declared on the territory of the Republic of Moldova.
During the state of emergency, the Commission for Exceptional Situations of the Republic of Moldova approved a series of measures in order to ensure an efficient management of the migration flow.
Therefore, for crossing the Moldovan-Ukrainian border, the Border Police authorizes Ukrainian citizens and other foreigners coming directly from the territory of Ukraine to enter and transit the territory Republic of Moldova on the basis of the following identity documents (including those with expired validity):
a) for minors - birth certificate, national identity card, ordinary passport, including other types of documents allowing identification of the person, including copies of them or in electronic format (diia.gov.ua);
b) for adults - national identity card, ordinary passport, including other types of documents allowing identification of the person, including copies of them or in electronic format (diia.gov.ua).

It is to be specified that Ukrainian citizens who enter under the facilitated regime and stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova are allowed to leave the territory of the Republic of Moldova for Ukraine on the basis of the above-mentioned identity documents only once.
For further exits from the Republic of Moldova to Ukraine, valid travel documents are required, as follows:
a) for minors - valid international passport (or travel document for return to Ukraine or citizenship certificate - issued by diplomatic missions of Ukraine);
b) for adults - valid international passport (or travel document for return to Ukraine or citizenship certificate - issued by diplomatic missions of Ukraine).Note: Paragraph 11 of the Ordinance No.1 from 24.02.2022 of the Commission for Exceptional Situations of the Republic of Moldova.

Subsequently, we would like to point out that Ukrainian citizens can enter the Republic of Moldova from Romania and via the Chisinau International Airport BCP on the basis of the following documents:
a) for minors - valid international passport (or travel document for return to Ukraine or citizenship certificate - issued by diplomatic missions of Ukraine).
b) for adults - valid international passport (or travel document for return to Ukraine or citizenship certificate - issued by diplomatic missions of Ukraine).
