The Border Police has appointed the best employees in the profession of the year 2014. The applied professional contest was held for the first time and is part of the events on occasion of the Day of the Border Police, and at the start were aligned more than 50 officers and sub-officers.
During the days 2 and 3 June, within the Border Police Department was held the final stage of the competition. The best, 29 among those enrolled, have exhibited their intellectual abilities, as well as their physical qualities. Today, were revealed the final results and only 3 of the participants enjoyed the title of "Best in the profession."
The competition was conducted in three phases, the nominations being made according to the function held – of management and execution. The first two stages were held in May, where were tested the Border Police officers from the institution’s subdivisions. The main tests on which were subjected the participants include management training, specialized training and tactics, target shooting and intervention techniques.
After the successful implementation of all tests included in the program, the winners became:
- Personnel with managerial positions - officers: senior lieutenant Roman Jugaru, Chief of the Shift border control unit, Border Police Sector "Leova" of the Western Regional Directorate.
- Personnel responsible for the execution - officers: Michael Voiniţchii sub-officer, senior inspector of the unit of border control, Border Police Sector "Soroca" of the Northern Regional Directorate.
- Personnel responsible for the execution – sub-officers: Ion Taran, subofficer, inspector of the unit of border control, Border Police Sector, Basarabeasca of the "Southern Regional Directorate”.
The Border Police Leadership addressed the sincere congratulations to all participants with performances obtained and recommended them to put into practice the knowledge they have and to always persevere in the work. The diplomas and the awards to those three winners will be presented in a solemn atmosphere, dedicated to Border Police Day.
