The Head of the Border Police, Mr. Dorin Purice, offered an interview today to Realitatea.md in the framework of this interview he talked about how he feels in this position and how long he does see himself as the Head of the Border Police, as well as talked about the image of the Border Policeman in the society, the transition of the Border Police in subordination of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, liberalization of the visa regime and border security amid the Ukrainian tensions condition.
Thus, Dorin Purice said he feels good on position of the Head of the Border Police, that he never regretted agreeing to occupy this office and is ready to remain in the head of the respective institution as long as it could generate ideas and would be useful.
However, Mr. Purice said that on April 28 when came into force the abolishing of the visa regime into European Union for Moldovans, it was one of great excitement for employees of the Border Police. He talked about the number of persons who have already taken the advantage of the liberalized visa regime, but also cases when some citizens were turned back from their journey.
Referring to the security of the state border, in the context of tensions in the region, the Head of the Border Police, Mr. Dorin Purice said that have been undertaken increased steps and assured us that we are in safety.
