As a result of carrying out specific activities in the area of competence, the Border Police officers, during 14 – 20 April 2014, revealed and documented 130 persons, who violated the border and migration legislation of the Republic of Moldova, as it follows:

- 11 persons for illegal crossing or attempt to cross the border illegally;
- 14 foreign citizens for violation of rules of stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
- 42 persons for violation of border area regime;
- 8 persons for presenting of false documents;
- 11 cases of illegal border crossing of the state border of material goods;
- 34 persons in conflict with law and 10 transport units were detained at the border crossing points, as a result of information exchange of national and international law enforcement authorities.
The flow of people crossing the state border was about 380 000 persons, with 35 000 crossings more comparing with the previous week and the transport traffic flow recorded over 60 000 of transport means units, being attested an increase of 4 000 crossings comparing with the period of 7-13 April.
On Easter the BCPs were crossed by 18 676 persons and 3802 vehicles.
We shall remind that since 10 April to 4 May, the Border Police and Customs Service shall operate at their full capacity to ensure effective control so as to avoid crowding generated by the Easter holidays and the mini vacation of May, the 1st.
