Three drivers, who presented for control counterfeit documents for the means of transport, were documented by border policemen in the past 12 hours.
The first case was registered at the border crossing point Palanca. For border crossing formalities was present a Moldovan, aged 39, who was driving a Mercedes 413 CDI, registered in Chisinau. The checks revealed that the engine number does not coincide with the registration certificate. The driver said he made the changes because he did not afford to repair the old one or to register the new one and hoped that the trick would remain unnoticed.
A similar situation occurred in the border region of the Sector Leova, where was stopped a Mercedes, driven by the 20-year-old young man. At the control of the documents, the border inspectors discovered that the bodywork number did not match the number of the registration certificate. The driver with the vehicle was transmitted to Patrol Inspectorate of Leova for further investigation.
The third case was documented after midnight, at the border crossing point Giurgiuleşti - Galaţi. The driver of 28 years presented to control besides the travel documents the documents on Volkswagen Transporter with Bulgarian license plates. During rigorous checks it was found that the power of attorney issued by a notary in Bulgaria showed signs of evident forgery, later using special equipment being confirmed the document forgery.
In all three cases, investigations are carried out to elucidate the circumstances and attract under the liability the persons involved in illegal activities.
