The Syrian citizen was detected in the border zone close toPalanca village. Around 3:00 am the Mobile Team of Tudora Border Sectorobserved an Audi A6 car with license plates from Calarasi and stopped it for inspection.The four men inside the car presented Moldovan identity cards, and the Border Police officers noticed that the physiognomy of one of the persons did not correspond with the photograph attached to the document presented.

After thorough checks, BP officers found out that the youngest of the passengers was a Syrian citizen. Moreover, the person was already detained on 16 January 2014 at Chisinau International Airport BCP with a forged Turkey biometric passport.

In both cases, the document was sent for expertise to forensic experts of the BPD and the person is currently under investigation.
