Within the period 14 - 16 October 2014, within the Border Police Department was held the 56th meeting of the Mixed Moldovan-Ukrainian Commission for Demarcation, at which participated a representative of the EUBAM. The Moldovan delegation was led by Deputy Head of the Border Police, Valentin Fiodorov.

The discussions among participants focused on the actions of the works of the Moldovan-Ukrainian border demarcation, in the context, the committee noted that decisions taken at the previous meeting were fully executed and the preparation of the final documents of demarcation are carried out successfully and within the deadlines.
Regarding the Moldovan-Ukrainian border demarcation, those present at the meeting supported the common desire to complete the process as soon as possible.

We shall recall that under several rounds of negotiations was worked out the draft of the Treaty between the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine on the Moldavian -Ukrainian state border regime, cooperation and mutual assistance in border issues.

At the end of the meeting was fixed the date of the next meeting of the Joint Commission, which will take place in January 2015, on the territory of Ukraine.
