In weekend, the officers from the mobile teams of the Border Police counteracted three cases of transportation of various goods, for which the drivers, the citizens of Moldova did not have any certificates of origin.
In first case, a man aged 27, accompanied by other 3 persons, carried about 6 tons of potatoes, without having any accompanying documents or any documents of transporting the goods. The transport means, a truck of model Mercedes 711D was arrested in the area of responsibility of the Border Police Sector Tudora. During the verifications the men said that they intended to leave the goods in the village of Tudora. The vegetables, as well as the transport means were transmitted to Stefan Voda Police Inspectorate for further legal measures to be taken.
Another capture of 2 tons of apples without any documents of origin was detained by the mobile team of the Northern Regional Directorate. In this case, in addition to the fact the driver illegally transported the fruits, he did not have any driving license or any power for the car of model Mercedes 308. Currently, the case is being investigated by the officers of Briceni Police Inspectorate.
The third detention took place on national route Comrat - Vulcanesti. The officers of the mobile teams of the Southern Regional Directorate stopped to check a car of model Volkswagen Sharan with Transdniestrian registration plates. After the verification of the transport means there were found 12 bottles filled with clear liquid with alcohol odor. On the questions of the border guards regarding the origin of 320 liters of alcohol, the driver aged 35, said that the alcohol was given to him by a person who owed him money, but without giving any certificates of origin.
The driver and the means of transport were detained, the special investigations officers of the Border Police investigate the case to determine all the circumstances and all the persons involved.
