As a result of carrying out of the specific activities in the area of competence, the Border Police officers, during 2-8 May 2014, revealed and documented 62 persons, who violated the border and migration legislation of the Republic of Moldova, as it follows:
- 16 persons for illegal crossing or attempt to cross the border illegally;
- 17 foreign citizens for violation of rules of stay on the territory of the Republic of Moldova;
- 41 persons for violation of border area regime;
- 7 persons for presenting of false documents;
- 11 cases of illegal border crossing of the state border of material goods (950 liters of alcohol, 2261 cigarettes packs, 800 seedlings of roses, 2196 vials of insecticides and 4 means of transport;
- 21 persons in conflict with law and 2 transport units under confinement were detained at the border crossing points. The reasons of non-authorization of the border crossing points remain the same and namely: invalid document, expired term of validity of the document, non-correspondence with the statute of the BCP, etc.
The flow of people crossing the state border was about 280 000 persons and the transport traffic flow recorded approximately 56 000 of transport means units.
