The employees of the border crossing point Leuşeni detected and detained a quadricycle, of Kawasaki brand, for which the driver submitted a counterfeit registration certificate.
The detention took place at the end of the last week, when at the entry to the Republic of Moldova there presented a Moldovan citizen aged 52. The man was driving a truck with a trailer, where it was discovered a quadricycle of brand Kawasaki, registered abroad, with regard to which the border policemen had suspicions.
Following the verification of the documents submitted, the border policemen found that in the certificate of registration of the ATV, the year production was counterfeit, namely, from 2003 it was changed into 2005 and the number of the body had some elements of forgery, the tenth digit was changed from 3 to 5. The Border Police employees understood why it was resorted to this trick, because in 2003 the quadricycles were prohibited for import into Republic of Moldova. According to the accompanying documents the means of transport was estimated at 35,000 MDL.
The case is investigated and until the completion of the investigation the transport means was detained on the territory of the border crossing point.
During the weekend, the Border Policemen from the BCP Leuşeni documented 10 cases of offenses, among which 3 regarding the illegal exploitation of retooled machines and 7 - of illicit transportation of the passengers.
