The Border Police Fanfare attended the release of Mihai Ciobanu CD of folk music. The album entitled in the name of the song "The mischievous trumpet" contains 17 tracks.
The event took place on March 20 in the Theater "Licurici", the Master being supported by the Fanfare of Border Police, conducted by Lieutenant Colonel Andrei Florea. This CD is an absolute premiere not only for the Fanfare of Border Police, but also in the world of popular song, so far no folk musician from Moldova did not recorded a CD with a fanfare orchestra. The harmonious cooperation between Mihai Ciobanu and the Border Police Fanfare started in 2010, until present moment, together participating at many events at the national scene.
During the 22 years of Border Police Fanfare existence, the entire group of musicians is in a continuous professional ascension, playing with artistry works covering various genres: marches, suites, concerts, light music and national folk music. The orchestra has always been present in the cultural events organized by the Border Police, dedicated to official holidays, military rites, including the oath of allegiance to the Republic of Moldovan, Sports competitions, etc.
Brief History: In August 1992, immediately after the formation of the Border Guard of the Republic of Moldova was created the Military Orchestra, led by conductor Simon Arnaut, later by Petru Sudelea and now by Andrei Florea. Initially the orchestra membership included ten musicians, among which only three were professionals, others – conscript soldiers. In 1996 the orchestra was reorganized, meaning professional staffing, thus there were incorporated into military service a group of musicians - graduates of the College of Folk Creation from Soroca. In 1997 the Orchestra staff was increased up to 20 musicians. A military fanfare really deserves its name when it includes a number of notable musicians, impresses the fact that in 2010 there was a new reorganization of the staff of the Military Orchestra, being set up an Orchestral - Musical Department consisting of Fanfare Orchestra and Folk Music Orchestra.
