The Border Police officers distructured an illegal migration network of the Moldovan citizens in Turkey

pas2A Moldovan was detained for the crime of organization the illegal migration of the Moldovan citizens in Turkey, using forged documents. The man along with other accomplices, during two years, has deceived many persons, Moldovan citizens willing to work in Turkey and receiving from them big sums of money, tens of thousands of dollars.


At the end of last year, the employees of specialized services of Border Police Sector "Chisinau International Airport" came into possession of information, according to which a network of Moldovans was busy with organization of the illegal crossing of the border of the Moldovan citizens over a border of a foreign state, respectively the illegal entry or stay in Turkey under a foreign identity. On that fact, the Border Police officers have initiated specific actions for the detection of network members and establishing the criminal activity.

Thus, during the investigations carried out, the Border Police officers identified the organizers of this crime, one of them was detained. The suspect, a Moldovan aged 32, admitted his guilt. Other accomplices have to be announced in search and further shall be detained.

Similarly, out of the statements of victims, the Moldovans who wanted to reach Turkey and found out about the "support provided by the respective network" through intermediate paid sums between 1,500 and 2,500 USD, justified by the criminal group as for: Russian passport issuance and provision of transport. One of the persons identified who was misled by the members of the criminal network, a young woman of 25 years, revealed their modus operandi, inclusively, the fact that there were made available, in addition to forged documents the itineraries with the indication of concrete destination places.

We shall mark that since the beginning of March, the Border Police officers of the Sector International Airport Chisinau detained during border control four persons, who possessed Russian forged passports.

NOTE: For organizing illegal migration (Article 362 /1 of the Criminal Code ) the suspects risk to be sentenced to seven years' imprisonment or to get a fine of up to 1,000 conventional units.
