charitable acts for the orphanages and organization for the children of the visits to Chisinau and checkpoints, information campaigns on various topics, distribution of booklets and Martisors, participation at the Day of Europe in Moldova, blood donation etc. ..
In this context, for the contribution of the Border Police in activities of promotion of voluntary and unpaid blood donation on May 23, 2014, came a letter of thanks from the Ministry of Health of the Republic of Moldova, to express gratitude for the promptness and Border Police involvement.
Following the campaign "On occasion of European Border Policeman Day we give life" 280 Border Police employees were presented for donation, out of which 267 donated blood. This number of donors placed the Border Police Department first among the institutions who donated blood during 1- 23 May 2014, and the amount of blood obtained was a priceless gift for persons who have suffered an accident, a surgery or an organ transplant.
The Vice-Minister of Health, Mihail Ciocanu, on personal behalf and on the behalf of the entire staff thanked the Border Policemen for the good gesture and expressed the hope to continue cooperation in the field of voluntary and unpaid blood donation, an important element for the hemo transfusion security at the country level.
