Traditionally, at 1st of March, the Border Police officers fix a Martisor to the chest of persons, who cross the border. And this year, the Border Police aimed to continue the tradition of giving joy and unforgettable memories to the travelers, at all border crossing points located at the border with both Romania and Ukraine, developing the action entitled "A Mărţişor – to the heart of all".
With a great pleasure and pride the Border Police officers being in shift work, addressed the warmest congratulations and informed the foreign guests about Martisor significance in the Republic of Moldova, sending them the symbol of spring arrival. For the vast majority of the travelers this little symbol of spring, love and great achievements, fixed to the chest at the border, is the first Mărţişor in this year.
However, in the first day of spring, the Border Police officers enjoyed a special surprise from the children of the Community center of social assistance of the village Olăneşti. At the border crossing point Tudora came few children to hand a Martisor to Border Police officers.
The children sang songs of spring, recited poems and handed each Border Police officer twigs adorned with Martisor, handmade by them.
The children’s gesture was rewarded by border inspectors with sweets and Martisors, at parting there were wished many great achievements, good thoughts and health.
