Border Police dogs on duty

1512490 542606049168267 919019171 nBorder Police quadrupeds, led by canine inspectors managed, on weekend, to detain three persons put on the wanted list, two - for committing a murder and one for robbery.

The first who successfully fulfilled the mission was a German Shepherd - Yoker, service dog of Border Police Sector Tudora. The quadruped was set at offenders trails, following a request received from the police sector officer of Tudora village. The police sector officer asked for help in search and detection of two persons suspected of committing a murder in the village Palanca.

The canine inspector and the police inspector carried out several research actions; finally, Yoker has led officers from the place of the crime to the home of one of the suspects. At the moment of detention both men were in an advanced ebriety.

The persons, the citizens of the Republic of Moldova and Ukraine were detained by the officers of Police Inspectorate Stefan Voda. The case is being investigated in order to establish all the circumstances of the crime.

In the second case, the dog of the Border Police Sector Troiţcoe, named Zandi, helped the colleagues from the Police Inspectorate Cimişlia to retain a man put on the wanted list, suspected of theft in large proportions. The man, aged 27, was recently released from prison.

Since the beginning of the current year, the service dogs of the Border Police were requested for the detection of six crimes where persons were suspected of committing robberies and murders
