A Turkish citizen tried to cross the state border driving a car, based on falsified power of attorney. The attempt has been blown by border police officers of the border crossing point Tudora today, 10 March.
Thus, around 00.20, for the performance of the necessary border formalities, was presented on the exit from the Republic of Moldova a man of 35 years old, who was legitimized on the basis of travel documents issued by the Turkish authorities. He was driving a Jeep Grand Cherokee, registered in Bulgaria. During the control of the documents, the border inspector's attention was focused on Bulgarian power of attorney which showed obvious signs of forgery. To establish false document, the decision was to raise and send notarized power of attorney for expertise.
The Turkish citizen told border police officers he didn't know about the false detected moreover the car being purchased from other countrymen, who in turn have perfected proxies with the help of a Moldovan citizen.
In this case, border police officers drew up the protocols of the hearing and ascertaining the offence provided by art. 361 paragraph 1 of the Criminal Code of the Republic of Moldova, which establishes a penalty of a fine of up to 300 conventional units or by community service for 150 to 200 hours or by imprisonment for up to two years. The means of transport has been seized and kept on the territory of the checkpoint Tudora until the investigations are completed.
